Bank of Ireland offers a variety of services, including current accounts, deposits, overdrafts, term loans, mortgages, business and corporate lending, international asset financing, leasing, installment credit, and invoice discounting.
Bank of Ireland was launching its first current account app, the company had bought an off the shelf product and we were tasked to re skin the product to represent
Bank of Ireland.
Attention to detail
We were in new terrain, everything that had been offered before was based on responsive web design, we were now offering a mobile app, the whole design library needed a redesign.
Layouts
Putting together designs using the new UI elements, we had regular user testing throughout, which meant we could quickly adapt while the build was happening.
Timeline
It is easy to think now, how normal online banking is, and how certain elements are taken as a given, but in 2017 a timeline of your spending was pushing what most banks were offering.
Design Elements
I have always worked as an allrounder as opposed to a specialist, the ability to create design components as well as understand the UX constraints is so important and often overlooked.
